OneRoof, Inc. is a San Francisco Bay social enterprise company with prior experience in directly delivering Internet-enabled communications and computer literacy in scores of rural communities in India and Mexico via corporate-owned and via walk-in locations called 'OneRoof Centers'.
OneRoof now provides free, easy-to-use software to manage Internet cafes, cyber cafes, public telecentres and library computer networks nearly everywhere (208 countries).
OneRoof thus helps enable and sustain inexpensive public access to the Internet and the promotion of computer literacy -- both critical for diminishing poverty and social inequality.
The company was founded in 2005 and was initially funded by angel investors from prominent firms such as Farallon Capital, Goldman Sachs, and Bain Capital.
OneRoof was also the first international company affirmed as a B Corporation social enterprise.
OneRoof is also planning the launch of the first global Channel for Public Service Announcements displaying free banners from non-profits and government entities to the worldwide audience of Bookmark Central.
